Otto <span class=SpellE>Meinecke</span> lebte bis zum Beginn der Verfolgung als Homosexueller durch die NS-Justiz in Dortmund. Er wurde am Montag, den 13.07.1942 im KZ Sachsenhausen bei Berlin ermordet. Als Todesursache wurde Kopfschuss bei Fluchtversuch angegeben zur Verschleierung des wahren Ablaufes der Tötung.<br> <br> Die gezielte Erschießung auf der vermeintlichen Flucht war eine &quot;beliebte&quot; Mordmethode der SS. Im Sommer 1942 wurden mehr als 80 Männer Opfer einer gezielten Mordaktion gegen Homosexuelle. <span class=SpellE>Meinecke</span> war einer von Ihnen. Weitere Stolpersteine für Opfer dieser Mordaktion werden folgen u.a. in Duisburg, Remscheid, Bochum und Wuppertal. Februar 2012 zu einer Konferenz der Bürgerinnen und Bürger der Stadt eingeladen. Mit dem Hinweis auf die weiter anhaltende Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise wird es darum gehen, an welcher Stelle die Kommune denn einsparen soll. Davon betroffen sind etablierte öffentliche Einrichtungen, freie Träger, Vereine und Initiativen im Sozial- und Kulturbereich. Auch unser Verein bleibt nicht verschont.<br> <br> In einem offenen Brief hat der Kinder- und Jugendring Bochum e.V., in dem auch wir Mitglied sind, deutlich gemacht, was die geplanten Kürzungen für die Jugendarbeit bedeuten, denn &quot;schon jetzt steht den Jugendverbänden das Wasser bis zum Hals&quot;, so die Vorsitzende des Jugendrings Ina Wilde, die sich in unserem Verein ehrenamtlich engagiert.<br> <br> Für unsere Beratungsarbeit, die zu knapp 50 % die unter 27-jährigen erreicht, bedeutet das, dass wir nicht nur die bisherige Kürzung der kommunalen Mittel und die seit 2003 fehlende Erhöhung der Personalkosten durch das Land NRW ausgleichen müssen, sondern dass wir nun erneut mit Kürzungen konfrontiert sind. Denn: Auch wenn Fördermittel lediglich fortgeschrieben werden, bedeutet dies für die Träger faktisch eine jährliche Kürzung der Zuschüsse um ca. 5%. Auch Sie können Stellung nehmen, wenn Sie sich gegen die Kürzungen engagieren wollen  <a href="http://jugendring-bochum.de/">online</a> über den Webauftritt des Jugendringes.<br> <br> Und: Es geht nicht einfach nur um &quot;mehr Geld&quot;. Wir haben eindrucksvoll nachgewiesen, dass unsere Beratungszahlen in den Jahren von 2003 bis 2009 um 49% gewachsen sind. Und unsere Beratungsstelle ist ein Gradmesser dafür, wie sich gesellschaftliche Themen verändern.
